I was all excited when I got this decal because it was the only one that had a 3D look to it (compared to the others). I wanted to use it as a decorative headboard for my bed. Apparently I was way too excited, because, after flattening it out with some heavy books, I started peeling the decal off the backing all at the same time.
Big mistake.
The decal started sticking to itself, so I ended up with a giant ball of vinyl and stickiness. It took me about 30 minutes to undo the mayhem I had unknowingly caused in 30 seconds.
I finally managed to stick it on the wall, but it doesn't look as good, and it's all wrinkly from the aforementioned debacle. It would have been nice if the instructions had been a bit more clearer about how to peel the decal off the vinyl. If you ever covered your textbooks in contact paper, that's pretty much what you're doing here, so use the same caution.
In the end... I will probably purchase this item again. But, next time, I will leave the backing on and mount it as a poster.
